Implementing SCERTS at our setting - interactive live WEBINAR(S)

Who is this course for?

SESSION 1 – Wednesday 24th November 4:00pm – 5:30pm

SESSION 2 – Wednesday 1st December 4.00pm – 5:30pm

This training consists of  2 90 minute webinar(s) and is aimed at professionals.

It provides an overview of SCERTS and how it can be used for assessment, support and monitoring children with social communication and emotional regulation difficulties in settings.  It is ideal for Teachers, therapists and other practitioners in specialist Early Years or Primary school settings, or in community-based services.

What will you learn?

 

Based on our experience of embedding SCERTS in our practice since 2010.  

WE FOCUS ON HOW WE IMPLEMNT AND USE THE SCERTS FRAMEWORK IN OUR SETTING.

It is not the full SCERTS training offered by Emily Rubin.

Aims:-

  • To provide an overview of the SCERTS framework, the evidence base and practice principles focused on how this is implemented at Autism Early Support.
  • To introduce methods for determining a child’s communication stage.
  • To demonstrate observation tools to support individual and group planning.
  • To demonstrate target setting in priority areas.
  • To identify key effective strategies (transactional supports) for your students.
  • To explore how student progress can be monitored in a meaningful way, in particular for those whose achievements are not easily measured using standard assessments.
  • To share good practice incorporating SCERTS at Autism Early Support.
  • To provide opportunities for applied learning and practical solutions that can be implemented in your service.
