Our next lunch club speaker:

Sigmund Freud (1856 -1939): An Introduction to the father of the “Talking Cure”
This talk by Sally Bunce, a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, will explore some of Freud’s main ideas and how they have been integrated into our understanding of everyday life and culture.

Sigmund Freud changed how we think about the human mind—especially the parts we’re not aware of. He is regarded as one of the most influential and possibly controversial minds of the 20th Century.
However, is he still relevant in the era of social media, podcasts, self-help books and AI in the 21st Century? Can his work on the “unconscious” still help us to understand our anxieties, dreams or family dynamics?

Join Sally for an interesting and entertaining presentation on her views on Freud’s relevance as part of her work as a psychotherapist. No analytic couch provided!

About the speaker:
Sally Bunce is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience of private practice.
Sally completed her training at The Guild of Psychotherapists and the Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies in London, having previously studied counselling at postgraduate level at the University of Hertfordshire. Before becoming a psychotherapist she had an extensive business career and also worked as a lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. She holds an MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
